Community participation
Supporting community events is a cornerstone of our construction company’s mission to give back and strengthen the bonds within the areas we serve. We actively participate in local initiatives, from sponsoring school programs and sports teams to contributing to charitable fundraisers and dinners. For several years now we have participated in the school backpack drive where we come together as a company and buy backpacks and school supplies to donate to the local school districts. We have also participated in the Adopt a Family for Casa of Pueblo where we adopt a family to provide them with Christmas gifts and any household items they need. We support the construction programs and the students at CSU-Pueblo and Pueblo Community College by funding students with scholarships. Our employees are encouraged to volunteer their time and skills, reflecting our values of teamwork and commitment to the community. By providing resources, expertise, and enthusiastic participation, we aim to enhance the vibrancy and cohesion of our community. These efforts are a testament to our belief in integrity, ensuring that our presence in the community is marked by positive contributions and meaningful connections.

H.W. Houston's Annual Golf Tournament
The H.W. Houston Golf tournament is a much-anticipated event that brings together employees, clients, and partners for a day of camaraderie and friendly competition. Held at a local course, this event serves an opportunity to strengthen relationships, celebrate our collective successes, and enjoy a day outdoors. The HWH Golf Tournament began as a way of showing appreciation to our subcontractors, clients, and the Pueblo community. It quickly grew due to the support we received and with its success we decided to further help our community. Colorado State University – Pueblo and Pueblo Community College have expanded their curriculum to include Construction Management programs and with the help of this tournament and our committed sponsors, H.W. Houston uses the proceeds to provide scholarships to new CM students who are the future of our industry.
